During the Goodwood Festival of Speed, we had brought to you the news
about Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake’s first public appearance. After
the glimpse of the spectacular vehicle, the pricing for the European
range has been disclosed, although the deliveries will begin around 6th
October 2012.In Germany, the estate model will start from $75850 which is
approximately Rs. 42.04 Lakh, whereas flagship CLS 63 AMG is priced at
$144320 which in INR will be approximately Rs. 79.9 Lakh. The former
mentioned estate model, CLS 250 CDI BlueEFFECIENCY with 4-cylinder
diesel engine will deliver a power of 201bhp. The later mentioned CLS 63
comes with 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 will be capable of delivering 518bhp.
long with these there will be the petrol CLS 350 with V6, capable of
producing 302bhp and the CLS500 V8, delivering a power of 402bhp and the
diesel powered CLS 350 churning out 262bhp. A limited edition CLS 63
Edition 1 variant is also present in the line-up. This has a more
powerful force-fed V8 engine along with bespoke details. The edition is
speculated to be capable of churning 550bhp with a torque of 800Nm. The
price of this limited still remains under covers. Though the model will
not be launched in U.S.A, there is still no clarity about whether it
will reach India and when.
