16 July 2010 - Today, Fiat India Automobiles Limited (FIAL) has launched its latest variant of its most popular small car model Fiat Punto called, "Fiat Punto 90 HP". The 1.3L, Multijet diesel engine of Fiat Punto 90 HP delivers 93 PS of maximum power with 209Nm of maximum torque that makes it the most powereful diesel hatchback in India. The car offers excellent drive dynamics – Ride, Handling, Braking and also superior fuel efficiency of 20km / l.15 March 2010 - Fiat India Automobiles Limited (FIAL) has shooted two new variants of its most acknowledged ex-launched Fiat Punto called “1.2 Dynamic” and "1.2 Emotion" on March 15, 2010. These new variants will be powered by the 1.2L, FIRE petrol engine and will carry the same features like "1.4 Dynamic" and "1.4 Emotion". With the launch of these two variants, Fiat has phased out one its variant - "1.4 Emotion" due to its faded sales.
5 January 2010 - Fiat Punto Evo touts itself to be the next level car in terms of design that promises to fulfill the most difficult of customer's demands. Fiat Punto Evo's main focus would be on the environmental implications, the technology and comfort while driving. Fiat Punto Evo technical prowess exhibits through its Euro 5 engines and the vast selection in the same. The new wheel from Fiat Punto comes with a 1.4 petrol engine and 1.3 second generation Multijet diesel engine. A new technology called as the MultiAir technology has been incorporated in its engine and will be seen in all the Fiat engines. Another feature to look forward to in Fiat Punto Evo is its Blue&Me - TomTom which is a portable sattelite navigation unit that enables the driver use telephone, information and navigation functionalities through a color touchscreen.
Hyundai Avante offers a smooth riding and responsive handling with standard safety features like ABS (Anti Lock Brakes) on all wheels with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution). In Hyundai Avante has been incorporated with ample airbags including dual front airbag, side-impact and side-curtain airbags with active head restraints in the front.

The interior appearance of the Hyundai Avante casts a spell. The company has only unveiled the dashboard side picture of the latest Hyundai Avante. The dashboard design looks same as the Hyundai Sonata but with some difference. Hyundai Avante dashboard has two big shape pods with bright illumination at its instrument panel. Chrome strips at several components are easily visible and give it a sporty look. The power steering wheel has four spoke and mounted controls. Multi-information TFT LCD screen is there for the comfort of the driver. The rear seats are heated. The company has not disclosed other information about the cabin of the car, stay tuned to know more about the interiors.
The replacement of Hyundai Elantra - Hyundai Avante- is reported to be launched in India with two type of powertrains. First one is a 1.6 litre, 1591cc, Gamma, DOHC, VVT, 4 cylinder, petrol engine, the engine is capable enough to generate a top power of 118 bhp at 6200 rpm and develops a peak torque of 156 Nm at 4200 rpm. The other engine which has a displacement of 1582cc is powered by a CDRi type is more powerful than its petrol variant; it belts out a max power output of 115 bhp at 4,000 rpm and lays out the highest torque of 260 NM at 1900 rpm. The engine is coupled with a six speed automatic transmission for better power delivery; these type of gearboxes are better suited for city riding where the driver needs to change gears again and again. 
Hyundai is one of those car makers who never compromise on safety and this time too it is no mood to leave anything for the critics. The upcoming Hyundai Avante is equipped with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, fog lamps, parking sensor and rear seat belts as well. Here we would like to mention that due to competitive pricing, the car may be launched with less safety features. 
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (KTM) launched one of its most innovative creation today at an event in Bangalore, Toyota Etios sedan and unveiled hatchback, Toyota Etios Liva. The booking of this new concept car is started in India and will be introduced in other countries thereafter. The delivery of Toyota Etios saloon version will start from January 2011. This compact car, Toyota Etios, is targeted at masses in India. As per the company, to develop this people's car, over 2,000 engineers were engaged to give it small size without compromising on the eye-catching interior, power, performance and higher fuel economy. At the Auto Expo 2010, the company displayed hatchback and sedan models of Toyota Etios and now finally the saloon version is launched whereas the hatchback version of Etios named Toyota Etios Liva is unveiled. The launch of this hatchback version is planned in the month of April next year. The company had worked hard to make Toyota Etios affordable and wished to use only domestic components for the same.
The instrument panel, including speedo and trip is placed at the middle of the dashboard while the AC vents are in round shape. The three spoke steering wheel comes in dual tone along with the rest of the interior. The dashboard of Toyota Etios hatchback is general while the one in the sedan's is quite appealing. Enough legroom and headroom are given in both models. As far as safety is concerned, it seems the cars will miss a lot apart from seat belts for all passengers.

Toyota Etios is powered by refined engine and produces sufficient power and torque. The sedan model of Toyota Etios comes loaded with 1.5 litre petrol engine that develops a peak power of over 90 PS and torque accordingly. Acceleration of the car is stunning and the car zooms past 100 kmph from nil in just 12.5 seconds with its top speed as 178 kmph.
Though the front face of the Toyota Etios is sharp and compact. the upper grille, lower grille and headlamps collectively make a shape of a face of human being that seems smiling with dimples (headlamps) at both end of lips (upper grille). The upper grille in chrome finish while the lower grille comes in black. Pearl white fog lamps are placed at both end of the lower grille. Rain wipers are provided at front and rear face. The rear box of Toyota Etios is unique. However, taillight in Etios sedan is in triangular shape. The taillight cluster includes brake, turn and reverse indicators. The boot space is wider and larger in sedan variant of Toyota Etios. Exhaust pipes in both the variants are not showed outside. 170 mm ground clearance is simply commendable. The front grille is Matte Black in case of Toyota Etios J and Chrome Ornamenting in all other variants. There is enough storage space at dashboard facing front passenger. A touch-screen audio-system is installed in the middle of the console along with operating switches. Additional steering mounted audio controls are there provided for the convenience of driver.
The multifunction steering wheel comes in three spoke design. The base model doesn't possess power steering. Seatbelts are there for all passengers for safety reasons. The interiors of Toyota Etios are in dual tone which is a classic piece of designing. The seats are wide and comfy with sufficient backrest. Ample legroom and headroom is provided for easy and comfortable seating. Storage space at door pockets and glove box are provided in the car. Boot compartment is there in all the variants. Flooring is flat and sleek which also helps to sit comfortably. Rear roof lining is made thinner for ample headroom.

Toyota Etios has a tyre size of 175 / 65 R14 in Toyota Etios G and J whereas tyre size is 185 / 60 R15 in case of V and VX version. 2550 mm of wheelbase assures grip on the drive. The large tyres come with higher ground clearance that is 170 mm.
